At 1,400m altitude and 1.3km from the guesthouse, on the Thessaly–Macedonia border, sits Lanari Farm (Αγρόκτημα Λανάρι). It was built by the owners' own hands, with no alteration to the landscape, and exists for one reason only: the recreation of our guests, through the kind of alternative tourism the mountain actually invites.
Its strategic position is what makes it work — the farm is the natural starting point for the routes and excursions that fan out from Livadi into the three regional units (Larissa, Kozani, Pieria) that meet here.
Inside the stone refuge you'll find coffee and hot drinks, and a few specific things you don't get everywhere else:
The refuge and its grounds are also available for private gatherings by arrangement — small celebrations, family meals, friendly afternoons under the open sky.
When the snow comes, the farm changes character. Equipment is on hand for ski touring, cross-country skiing, and sled rides. The slopes of Titaros above us reach 1,839m — quiet, with the full panorama of Olympus, the Chasia and Antichasia ranges, the Kamvounia, Vermio, and the Northern Pindos.
It's not a resort. It's the mountain on its own terms, with a warm room to come back to.
Don't miss our apiary. You can watch the beekeeping work up close — and taste the famous honey of Livadi, gathered from hives on these same slopes. The altitude, the wild thyme, the pine, and the short summer all show up in the jar.
